As always, this year’s Spring Camporee presented a series of activities for patrols to complete. This year, the activities were themed around a mystery: the whereabouts of the husband of the distraught Mrs. Bodee.
Unfortunately, our photographers didn’t get very many pictures of the activities at the event because many of them were helping run stations, so pictures will be sporadic.
Fire building
To properly look for Mr. Bodee, patrols needed to light a candle to see in the dark. This was done by building small campfires.
Obstacle Course
Patrols had to complete the obstacle course by participating in various physical activities.
Knot Tying
Scouts had to tie varied knots as a patrol to earn the trust of one of Mr. Bodee’s friends, thereby gaining more answers about where he could be.
Rifle
Mr. Bodee was known to be an avid marksman, so patrols had to take a turn at the rifle range to learn more about his whereabouts.
First Aid
Patrols had to demonstrate first aid competency by treating a random injury.
Tomahawk Throw
Patrols got to attempt to throw tomahawks at targets in an attempt to befriend more of Mr. Bodee’s companions.
Fingerprint ID
Patrols had to locate fingerprints on various objects, and transfer them onto pieces of tape.
Slingshot
Patrols got to use a big slingshot to try and shoot balls through holes in a board. After all, Mr. Bodee was a slingshot enthusiast, and meeting his friends could help you find him.
Radio
Patrols were given a radio antenna, and had to triangulate the location of Mr. Bodee’s personal radio, which might help find him.
