For this campout, we went on a backpacking trip, meaning that we went on a hike while carrying all of our gear. We hiked through John Bryan State Park, going through an 8-mile loop (although most of the scouts only carried their backpacks for the first 5 miles). The hike took most of the day, so we ate lunch on the trail. Both nights, we camped at the Fallen Timbers campsite at Camp Birch.
