Tecumseh Council Camporall

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Tecumseh Council decided to replace its normal spring campouts with one event: the Camporall. Scouts BSA scouts, Cub Scouts, and Venturers alike were invited to come participate in the activities offered at Clarke County Fairgrounds.

Friday Night

Unfortunately, Friday night was not exactly ideal camping weather. About halfway through tent setup, it began to rain, and the rain rapidly became a downpour. Scouts quickly donned their rain gear to finish setting up their tents and eat cracker barrel before going to bed. Thankfully, the rain was gone by the next morning.

Saturday

On Saturday morning, after eating breakfast, we made our way to the flag ceremony. After that, the Camporall was officially open, and everyone had the opportunity to make their way to the various activities that the council was offering:

Many of our scouts repeatedly returned to the Axe-throwing and archery stations.
Various pairs of scouts (or, as in this picture, pairs consisting of a scout and an adult) went over to the large saw to chop a slice off of the log as a souvenir.
One of our adults was helping the Council by running the woggle-tying station in the morning.

Other activities included mini-golf, a giant catapult, human foosball, and a monkey bridge.

Closing Ceremonies

On Saturday Night, the Council brought out a magician and a cover band to start the closing ceremonies. Unfortunately, due to the high winds, the fire-dancers were unable to perform, but the Camporall still closed with fireworks:
