Scout Account and Campership Policies Released

The Troop 85 Committee has released policies on both Scout Accounts and “Camperships” (sort of like scholarships, but for camping). Please read through these policies carefully. Also, note that we ask you to not use your scout account to pay for patrol food cost for weekend outings. See the policies page for details.

Scouting for Food

A huge “thank you” to all Troop 85 Scouts and adults who helped make the food collection phase of Scouting for Food on Saturday 21 March such as big success. The Beavercreek FISH food pantry greatly appreciated the quantity of items and the way they came pre-sorted and “shelf-ready.” Here’s the summary:

  • 1,200 items delivered, pre-sorted into 12 categories (1000 food items; 200 toiletry/personal items)
  • 8 Scouts participated and earned 3 Service Project hours
  • 5 adults supported the collection by helping as drivers
